> Macro (aura-html)

Numbered Headings is compatible with the Table of Contents macro, and the numbering added through the app is used in the table of contents. The [Table of Contents macro](https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/table-of-contents-macro-724765294.html) scans the headings on the current Confluence page to create a table of contents based on those headings.

The Table of Contents macro has the option to enable the Display Section Numbering** **option. When you use Numbered Headings on the page, disable Display Section Numbering to prevent double numbering.

> ⚠️ ### Known issue: incompatibility with Table of Contents macro

**Issue summary**:
There is a known compatibility issue when using the Numbered Headings macro with the Table of Contents (ToC) macro.

**Details**:
Text color formatting applied within the Numbered Headings macro is not rendered correctly when the page also includes a ToC macro. The issue affects both:

- Text inside the Numbered Headings macro
- Text that appears within the ToC itself

This results in font colors either reverting to default styles or not displaying as configured. For a demonstration, watch the following video:
