1. In Octo, navigate to the *Component releases* tab.
2. Click **Create Component Version**.

3. Fill the required fields:
  - **Version name**
  - Link a **Component**
4. Fill the optional fields:
  - **Description**
  - **Start date**
  - **Release date**
  - **Project release version** - in case you want to include the component release in your project release.

5. Click **Save** to create a new component version.

You can see the newly created version in the *Components releases* list in Octo, and you can now link issues to this version.
