# New features

We're excited to announce the release of a new feature that enhances the visual clarity of your OKRs: Color inheritance for Objective icons.

### Color Inheritance for Objective Icons

This feature allows Objective icons within your instance to automatically adopt the colors from their corresponding OKR type icons. Enabling it allows you to easily distinguish between different levels of objectives, which is particularly beneficial in environments with multiple sub-objective layers.

To enable it, navigate to **Settings** > **OKR Types** and simply toggle the color inheritance option. The Objective icons will then reflect the color scheme of their corresponding OKR type icons.

> ✅ To learn more about the feature, visit the [related documentation](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OFJ/pages/edit-v2/603653086#OKRs-icons).

**Benefits:**

- **Enhanced Clarity: **On the *OKR Overview* page,** **color coding of Objective icons makes it easier to understand the structure and hierarchy of your OKRs on the OKR Overview screen. Hovering over an Objective icon displays a tooltip specifying the type of Objective it represents.
- **Improved Navigation:** The Timeline view now displays a consistent color scheme for Objectives, providing a clear visual representation of your project and task roadmap.
