You can link Jira issues to your key results. This helps you see which tasks contribute to each key result and monitor their status directly from the key result’s Kanban board.

There are two ways to connect issues:

- From the Jira issue view
- From the key result page itself

## From the Jira issue view

1. Open the Jira issue you want to connect.
2. In the right-hand panel, click **OKRs**.
3. Select the objective that contains the key result.
4. Choose the relevant key result from the list.
5. Click **Connect**.

Your issue is now connected and will appear on the Kanban board of the key result page.

## From the key result page

1. Open the key result page.
2. Scroll down to the **Connected issues** section.
3. Click **Connect existing issues**.
4. Select issues from the list, or use a JQL query to find them.
  - If you’re not sure how to write a JQL query, [refer to this page](https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/what-is-advanced-searching-in-jira-cloud/#Advancedsearching-ConstructingJQLqueries) for help.
5. Click **Connect issues**. The button will show how many issues you've selected.

The connected issues will now appear on the key result’s Kanban board.

## How to create new issues connected to a key result

1. Open the key result page.
2. Scroll to the **Initiatives** section.
3. Click **Create issue**. A standard Jira issue creation window will open.
4. Fill in the necessary fields and click **Create**.

The issue will be connected to the key result automatically and should appear on both your Jira issue list and the Kanban board within a few seconds.
