## Prerequisites

You can only set up a request for approval on a space that has page approval enabled.

## Step 1 - Selecting approvers

Go to any page in your space. 

- choose the **Page Approval **breadcrumb** **below the page title

- select **Create Approval Request** in the pop-up window
- choose the approval type

For this example, **Standard approval** is selected as the approval type.

- choose **Find a person.. **for a dropdown of eligible approvers
- select the approvers
- then choose **Next **to continue

## Step 2 - Selecting acknowledgers

- Select the acknowledgers
- then choose **Next**

## Step 3 - Setting due date and priority

- set the **Due Date** and **Priority** for the approval
- choose **Send request **to submit the approval request

The status changes from **Page approval **to **In review**.

> ℹ️ A notification is sent to the approvers that an approval request is pending their approval.

- choose **In review > View Approval Request**, to view the current state of the approval request
