## Overview

This gadget displays the sales of a given app by a selected metric (transaction, region or hosting) and aggregated by a period of time (weekly or monthly). 

You will choose the metric (the type of transaction, region or hosting) and the aggregation time (weekly or monthly).

This gadget displays the sales of a given app in a period of time, based on the sale type: New, refund, renewal or upgrade. The sales are also compared with the same type of sale in the previous period of time. The increments are highlighted in green and decrements in red for all the types but for refunds, which are represented just the opposite

> ℹ️ - Hosting, Region and Country reports display net revenue, including refunds.
> ℹ️ - Region 'unknown' means location information was not available.
> ℹ️ - Country 'others' shows combined total for additional countries.

## Configuration

Name your gadget meaningfully, so everyone knows at a glance what it is about and when to use it. Fill out the rest of the fields as applicable, namely:

- The **datasource**, select a Marketplace datasource (see [https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RDD/pages/146309293](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RDD/pages/146309293)).
- The **vendor** associated with the marketplace partner account.
- The **app** you want the downloads data from.
- The **time period** you want to display and compare your app’s sales.
- **Compare with the previous period**, this allows you to compare the sales with the previous period of time.
- The **metric** (aggregation field) you want *the type of transaction*, *region*, *hosting, or tier size*.
- The **aggregation** time either *week* or *month*.
- Finally, indicate if you want to use the current settings for all the compatible gadgets in the dashboard. This option eases the pain of configuring one by one the rest of the gadgets with the same default configuration.
