# Upcoming breaking change

## Permissions scope change for subscriptions

We will soon be implementing a permissions scope change to Dashboard Hub to enable a new dashboard subscriptions feature. **Dashboard Subscriptions** lets you schedule dashboard snapshots to be delivered automatically to your stakeholders' inboxes. This feature will be released in the next major release, version 5.3.0.

To support this capability, the app requires an update to its permissions to access users' email addresses, which are used solely for sending subscription notifications. Email data is processed transiently and never stored, ensuring a seamless experience without compromising data privacy.

> ℹ️ This change will require a manual update to Dashboard Hub Pro and Dashboard Hub for Confluence.
