### Stacked area chart

A stacked area chart is a variation of the area chart where the areas are stacked on top of each other. Each stack represents a category or a group, and the height of the stack represents the total value of the group. 

Use this chart to show the relative contribution of each group to the total, as well as for tracking changes in the total over time. However, stacked area charts may not be suitable for displaying negative values, as they can become difficult to read.
