Appfire LiveRisk turns security findings and manually reported concerns into governed risk work items in Jira.

> 📝 **Manage LiveRisk Risk Register** provides access to the LiveRisk features used to run and govern a risk register. The **LiveRisk Manager** and **LiveRisk Analyst** roles have this permission by default. See **[Roles and permissions](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RM/pages/3496575012)** for details.

You work with risks in two main places:

- The **Risk register page**, where you work across all risks in a space.
- The **Risk work item detail view**, where you assess and manage an individual risk.

## Work with an individual risk

A risk work item contains two main areas for LiveRisk information: **Risk management** and **Risk analysis**.

### Risk management

The **Risk management** panel extends Jira’s standard details area and organizes information about the risk work item into four tabs:

- **Risk manager next action**: Shows the action currently required for the risk.
- **Details**:  Includes information such as the approver, category, treatment decision, and controls.
- **Dates and schedule**: Covers any related review cadence and review dates.
- **Scores**: Contains the risk's scoring information, including the **Inherent score**, **Current score**, and **Target score**.

### Risk analysis

The **Risk analysis** panel includes features for assessing and treating a risk, including:

- **Risk status**
- **Risk matrix**
- **Linked signals**
- **Risk score trend**
- **AI estimate**
- **AI guardrails**
- **Mitigation progress**

> 📝 If the **Risk analysis **panel is not visible in the work item detail view, click **View app actions** and select **Risk analysis**.

> 📝 To add the Risk analysis panel to all work items, click the **More** button in the upper right corner of the Risk analysis panel and select **Show for all work items**. This option is available only to Jira administrators with the Administer Jira global permission.

## Where things live

Each Jira space can have its own risk register. Open **Risk register** from the space navigation to access the LiveRisk views for that space, including *Signals*, *Assets*, *Candidate risks*, *Risk register*, *Live progress*, *Dashboard*, and *Security posture*.

> ℹ️ **Signals**, **Candidate risks**, **Dashboard**, and **Security posture** require **Manage LiveRisk Risk Register**. When you don't have the required access, these tabs remain visible but are disabled.

> ℹ️ **Assets**, **Risk register**, and **Live progress** are available to users who can access the Jira space. Access to individual risks still depends on Jira permissions, and users without **Manage LiveRisk Risk Register** can see Assets according to their asset ownership.

| ***Security posture***** tab** | Review risk information by compliance framework, domain, and control. |
| ***Assets***** tab** | Review and manage assets according to your permissions and asset ownership. |
| **Risk analysis panel** | Assess an individual risk, use AI-assisted scoring, work with linked signals, and build treatment plans. |
| **Risk management panel** | Manage risk details, dates and schedules, scores, treatment information, and governance actions. |

The task pages in this section walk through finding risks, creating risks from signals, scoring with AI, building a treatment plan with AI, setting details and scores, completing governance actions, tracking progress, and reviewing portfolio views. > 📝 Tier names, colors, scores, and matrix axis labels come from the space's risk matrix configuration and can differ between spaces.
