Appfire LiveRisk lets you create Risk work items from security signals.

In your Jira space, open **LiveRisk**, then select **Signals**.

The *Signals* page organizes security findings in three levels: provider bands, group sections, and signal tables. Signals are grouped differently depending on their source:

- **Snyk** **signals**: grouped by Organization, then Target, then Project in a nested view.
- **Wiz**: grouped by Subscription.

Use **Expand all** or **Collapse all** to expand or collapse groups across all providers.

## Find the signals you need

Use filters and search to narrow the signals shown on the page.

- **Filter by severity**: Select Critical, High, Medium, Low, or Info. The selected severity acts as a minimum threshold, so results include that level and all more severe signals. Select the active severity again to clear the filter.
- **Filter by status**: Select one or more statuses: Open, In progress, Resolved, or Suppressed. By default, Open, In progress, and Suppressed are selected.
- **Search**: Search signals by title. Use the clear icon to reset the search.
- **Assets**: Open **Filter by Asset** and select one or more assets. Selecting an asset also includes assets beneath it in the hierarchy.

Signals with the same name and severity within a group can appear as a single row with a count. Expand the row to view the individual signals.

If signals in a group do not share the same value for a field, the grouped row displays **Mixed** for that field.

You can also use **Map to Assets** from a group heading to map that signal group to assets.

## Work with selected signals

Select one or more signal groups to work with them. When you make a selection, a floating bulk-actions bar appears.

Open **Actions** to access the available actions:

- **Create risk**: Create a static Risk work item from the selected signals.
- **Create dynamic risk** — Create a Risk work item that continues tracking signals that match defined criteria.
- **Suggest risks**: Ask Rovo to propose candidate risks from the selected signals or current criteria.
- **Export signal groups (CSV)**: Export signal group data to a CSV file.

### Create a static risk

Use a static risk when you want to link a specific set of signals to a Risk work item.

1. Find the signals you want to use.
2. Select one or more signal groups.
3. Open **Actions** and select **Create risk**, or click **Create risk** from the floating bulk-actions bar.
4. Complete the Jira creation form, which is prefilled with the Risk work item type.
5. Click **Create**.

The selected signals are linked to the new risk work item and remain fixed.

### Create a dynamic risk

Use a dynamic risk when you want the Risk work item to keep tracking signals that match defined criteria.

1. Define the signals the dynamic risk should match. You can:
  - Select a **Snyk project** or **Wiz subscription**.
  - Select one or more assets.
  - Enter a title search.
  - Set the minimum severity.
2. Make sure **Open** or **In progress** is selected in the status filters. Dynamic risks automatically link only signals with one of these statuses.
3. Open **Actions** and select **Create dynamic risk**.
4. Complete the **Create risk** form.
5. Click **Create**.

Matching *Open* and *In progress* signals are linked automatically, and a background backfill continues linking matching signals.

If the backfill fails, use **Retry backfill** on the Risk work item.

When a dynamic risk is based on assets, it continues to follow the mappings for those assets. If an asset mapping changes later, future matching signals follow the updated mapping without requiring you to recreate the Risk work item.

> ⚠️ If **Create dynamic risk** is unavailable, check that:
> ⚠️
> ⚠️ - **Open** or **In progress** is selected in the status filters.
> ⚠️ - You have selected a Snyk project or Wiz subscription, or entered a search term to define which signals should match.

### Let Rovo suggest risks

Instead of creating a risk work item manually, use Rovo to generate candidate risk suggestions.

1. Narrow the signals using signal groups, assets, or search criteria.
2. Open **Actions** and select **Suggest risks**.

Rovo uses the selected signal groups, assets, or search criteria to propose candidate risks. The suggestions are added to **Candidate risks** for review.

### Export signal groups

To export signal group data:

1. Filter or select the signal groups you want to work with.
2. Open **Actions**.
3. Select **Export signal groups (CSV)**.

### Inspect a signal

Select a signal row to open its details.

Depending on the source, the details can include severity, status, description, remediation, assets, references, timeline, source information, and linked risks.
