Risks are Jira work items, so you can open and work with them like other Jira work items. The *Risk register* provides a dedicated view to find and review risks in the current space.

Open LiveRisk in your Jira space, then select *Risk register*, which is available to users who can access the Jira space. The risks shown depend on the user's Jira permissions.

The page includes:

- **Risk count**: Shows the number of risks currently displayed.
- **View**: Switch between the table and matrix views.
- **My risks**: Turn on to show only risks assigned to you. Turn it off to show all risks that match the current query and filters and that your Jira permissions allow you to view.
- **Search**: Search by summary, work item key, or source number.
- **Query**: Use a basic query or JQL to narrow the risks shown.
- **Filters**: Filter risks by severity, asset, source, or category.
- **Clear filters**: Clear the currently applied filters.

## Table view

In table view, select a sortable column header to change the sort order.

Use the **Columns** menu to choose which optional columns are displayed.

Available columns include:

- **Source**: The risk's origin and source number, where applicable.
- **Source ID**: The internal identifier associated with an imported risk.
- **Key** and **Summary**: The Jira work item key and summary. Select either to open the risk.
- **Status**
- **Category**
- **Owner**
- **Treatment**
- **Current score**
- **Progress**
- **Signals**
- **Due date**
- **Review date**
- **Inherent score**: Optional and hidden by default. This column is not sortable.
- **Target score**: Optional and hidden by default. This column is not sortable.

**Inherent score**, **Current score**, and **Target score** display the risk tier. A missing or zero score is displayed as a dash.

## Matrix view

Matrix view displays risks in a grid using two configurable axes. By default, the axes are **Probability** and **Impact**. Each risk appears in the cell that corresponds to its values on those axes.

Click **Inherent**, **Current**, or **Target** to choose which risk score is used to position risks in the matrix. Select a work item key in a cell to open the risk.

> 📝 There is no **Create risk** button in *Risk register*. Create risks from **Signals** (see [Create a risk from signals](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RM/pages/3459318006)) or use Jira's standard work-item creation flow.
