Assets connect the systems and services in your asset registry to security findings and risks. LiveRisk can also use linked asset context when estimating risks and generating treatment plans.

## Before you begin

- Your ability to map and manage assets depends on your LiveRisk permissions and asset ownership. **Manage LiveRisk Risk Register** is required to manage the complete asset registry.

## Map signal groups to assets

Signal groups from **Wiz and Snyk** can be mapped to assets so technical findings are connected to the systems or services they affect.

1. Open the **Signals** tab.
2. Locate the signal group you want to map.
3. Select **Map to Assets** from the group heading.
4. Select one or more assets and save.

You can then use the asset hierarchy to filter signals. Selecting a parent asset includes gignals associated with its child assets.

These mappings also provide asset context when creating and maintaining signal-based risks.

## Link assets to a risk

A risk can be linked to more than one asset.

For a manually created risk, open **Risk management** panel > **Assets** field and select the relevant assets.

For a risk created from signals, LiveRisk can link assets based on the asset mappings associated with those signals:

- Assets included through the risk’s signal funnel are linked automatically.
- You can add other relevant assets manually.
- Funnel-based asset links are maintained by LiveRisk and cannot be removed while they remain part of the funnel.
- For a dynamic risk, newly matching signals can add further assets when they introduce additional asset mappings.

Static risks keep their selected signals fixed, so they do not automatically gain assets from future findings.

Linked asset context is available to AI when it estimates the risk or drafts a treatment plan. AI retrieves the details of relevant assets when needed instead of treating the risk as an isolated record.

## Review AI-proposed asset knowledge

During AI-estimate refinement, LiveRisk may identify information that could be useful as ongoing context for a linked asset.

If LiveRisk proposes an update:

1. Review the proposed asset information and its justification in the AI estimate.
2. Open the affected asset.
3. Review the proposed text in the asset’s *Big picture* information.
4. Select **Accept** to keep the proposal as written.

To change the proposal first, edit the text and select **Save**.

Accepted information remains available as asset context for future risk analysis.
