If your organization already maintains risks in OneTrust but teams execute mitigation work in Jira, Appfire LiveRisk can bring those risks into Jira so they can be assessed, treated, and tracked alongside the work used to address them.

This lets OneTrust remain the source of the imported risk while LiveRisk provides a Jira-based workflow for managing the risk and its treatment.

## When to use this approach

Use this workflow when risks already exist in OneTrust and the teams responsible for treating those risks work primarily in Jira.

> ✅ For example, a GRC team might maintain the organization's risk register in OneTrust while engineering and security teams manage remediation work in Jira. Importing those risks into LiveRisk gives those teams a risk work item they can use to manage the treatment.

## How it works

The workflow looks like this:

**OneTrust → LiveRisk import → Risk → Assessment → Treatment → Monitoring**

1. **[Connect OneTrust](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RM/pages/3459219866/Sources#Configure-OneTrust)****.**  
From LiveRisk space administration, create a OneTrust source and provide the required connection details.
2. **Choose which risks to import.**  
Add filters if you only want LiveRisk to import risks that match specific OneTrust attributes. Leave the filters empty to import all available risks.
3. **Run the import.**  
Start the OneTrust import from the *Sources* page. LiveRisk imports the selected risks as risk work items.
4. **Review the imported risks.**  
Open the imported risks from the Risk register and review their details before beginning the LiveRisk workflow.

Complete the required assessment and create the treatment plan and mitigation work in Jira.
6. **[Track progress in LiveRisk](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RM/pages/3459547560)****.**  
Use LiveRisk to monitor the risk, its treatment work, scores, ownership, and progress.

## Result

The risk is available as a Jira risk work item where the teams responsible for mitigation can manage treatment work without maintaining a separate Jira copy manually.

> ℹ️ **Important:** OneTrust integration is a one-way import into LiveRisk. It should not be presented as bidirectional synchronization with OneTrust.
