Risk information needs to answer different questions depending on who is reviewing it. A risk manager might need to know which risks require attention, while a security or compliance leader might need to understand how risk is changing across a framework or domain.

Appfire LiveRisk provides several views for moving from individual risks and treatment work to a broader picture of the risk program.

## Video overview

## When to use this approach

Use LiveRisk reporting when you need to review the state of the risk program, identify risks that need attention, track treatment progress, or provide evidence-backed risk information for leadership, governance, or audit discussions.

Instead of assembling this information manually in a spreadsheet, use the LiveRisk view that matches the question you need to answer.

## Choose the right view

**[Risk register](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RM/pages/3459875028)**
Use the Risk register when you need the governed inventory of risks. Search, filter, and review risks in table or matrix form, including their owners, treatment decisions, scores, progress, due dates, and review dates.

**[Live progress](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RM/pages/3459219911)**
Use Live progress when you want to understand how risk treatment is progressing. Review risks by status, score, owner, category, and treatment.

**[Dashboard](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RM/pages/3684433923)**
Use the Dashboard for a portfolio-level view of risks across the Jira space, including risk status, priorities, ownership, reviews, and mitigation work.

**[Security posture](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RM/pages/3543073577)**
Use Security posture when you want to understand risk in the context of enabled compliance frameworks. Review risk trends and drill down from frameworks to domains, controls, and associated risks.

## Example workflow

1. Start with the **Risk register** to review the risks currently in scope.
2. Use **Live progress** to identify treatment work that is progressing or requires attention.
3. Open the **Dashboard** to review broader patterns across the risk portfolio.
4. Use **Security posture** to understand how risks affect frameworks, domains, and controls.
5. Drill down to the underlying risk work items when additional evidence or context is required.

## Result

LiveRisk provides a connected view from portfolio-level reporting down to individual governed risks and their treatment work.

This gives stakeholders a current picture of the risk program while preserving the underlying risk information used to support it.
