**Refinement** in Appfire QueueZero is the process of updating or enhancing existing context, such as Confluence knowledge sources or code repositories, or providing additional context to improve the output of a plan or pull request. You can:

- Refine a work item or its related knowledge sources to provide more complete context. See [Refine a work item](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RS/pages/3483271197) for information.
- Refine a QueueZero plan by reviewing and updating the assumptions made by QueueZero during plan generation. Modifying the assumptions provides additional context. See [Refine a plan](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RS/pages/3424387078) for more information.
- Refine a pull request by reviewing open comments on the pull request and providing additional information. Unlike refining a plan, this does not rerun implementation planning.
