There are two methods for converting the Scaffolding macros to Cloud macros. Depending on the number of pages or spaces being migrated, you can choose between: - Manual conversion - Or, Bulk conversion For manual conversion, there are two ways to search for the pages with unmigrated Scaffolding macros. - Use the list of pages containing Scaffolding macros you obtained from [Plan Out Your Migration](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/createpage.action?spaceKey=scafs&title=Step%201%20-%20Plan%20Out%20Your%20Migration%20%28Scaffolding%29&linkCreation=true&fromPageId=477608104) to search for all the pages that need action in the Cloud. - Use the CQL described in [How do I find all Scaffolding Server macros ](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCAFC/pages/477463795)not converted to Scaffolding Cloud format yet to search all pages containing unmigrated Scaffolding Server macros. ## Ensure permission is given to the right users 1. In your Confluence instance, go to a space migrated to the Cloud. 2. Find the pages that contain Field macros. 3. Ensure that the page containing Scaffolding server macros (Field macros or Live template macros) or the source for a live template has no restrictions. ![edit and lock icons in confluence](media://03583115-2825-4861-8262-09593eeb35ee) --- ## Converting the Scaffolding macros to Cloud macros > ℹ️ If you face any issues or errors during the single or bulk conversion, see [Known Issues when migrating to Scaffolding Cloud](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCAFS/pages/477604479) for more information. ## Bulk conversion of Scaffolding macros  The bulk conversion allows you to bulk convert the Scaffolding macro into Cloud macros through multiple pages and spaces.  1. Go to **Space Settings>Manage Space.** 2. Click **Convert Scaffolding Server Macro.** > ℹ️ The page lists all the migrated Scaffolding macros, and the status of the pages will show **Unconverted**. 3. Click **Proceed **on the next window. > ⚠️ Closing the tab while the bulk conversion is running will halt the process and may lead to potential data loss. > 📝 The duration of the bulk conversion process depends on the number of pages. 5. The **All contents converted** button is greyed out, indicating the successful bulk conversion. ![manage space section showing convert scaffolding server Macro](media://dbe57bd4-5ff1-43dc-b86b-eade3cd7a164) > 📝 Reverting a converted page to an unconverted one using page history does not update the page conversion status in the space migration tool table. --- ## Manual conversion of Scaffolding macros  The manual conversion requires you to go to each page of the migrated Scaffolding macro and manually click the macros to convert them into Cloud macros.  ### Pages with Scaffolding field macros In the **page view** mode, the **Migrate Scaffolding macro** buttons are displayed. ![Page view mode](media://b8dafdd4-b948-41fd-a66b-2ffad9838b06) When editing the page (**page edit mode**), the page structure displayed is similar to what it looked like in the server environment. Click one of the buttons on the page in the **Page view** mode. > ✅ You only have to click one of them to trigger a page-wide migration. Selecting this button will do the following as a background task: - convert this page to use the **New Editor** - migrate all Scaffolding macros on this page > ℹ️ [Scaffolding structure](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCAFS/pages/477597851) will be converted from using Scaffolding Server macros to Scaffolding Cloud macros. - Map of all [Scaffolding data](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCAFS/pages/477597827) (the form values) to this page. After some time, the page will be migrated to use Scaffolding Cloud macros. The **Edit Content** button now appears in **Page view** mode. In **View Page mode, **choose the **Migrate Live template** macro link inside the banner. > ℹ️ You only have to click one of them to trigger a page-wide migration. Selecting this action task initiates the following as background tasks: - Converts this page to using **New Editor** - Finds the underlying template used by this Live Template and converts all the Scaffolding Server macros on that page to Scaffolding Cloud macros - Maps all of the [Scaffolding data](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCAFS/pages/477597827) (the form values) to this page After some time, you will see the structure and data of this page. The **Edit Content** button now appears in **Page View mode**.
