## About the Priorities module
Task and initiative prioritization in strategic management ensures resources are allocated efficiently and project goals are met on time. Tasks can be prioritized based on urgency, importance, impact on project goals, or dependencies.
In BigPicture, you can go beyond the Priority column and standardize your prioritization process with popular or custom framework templates in the **Priorities module**.
The video presents a short overview of the Priorities module.
## Access the Priorities module
This module is available in all [box types](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DLP/pages/297538577). The Priorities module requires:
- BigPicture Enterprise (Jira Cloud)
- [Foxly](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1222824/foxly-requirements-backlog-prioritization-planning-poker?hosting=cloud&tab=overview) for Jira (Jira Cloud)
No additional configuration or integration setup between these two apps is required.
Use the **module switcher** at the top and select the **Priorities** from the dropdown to access the Priorities module.
## Main features
The table presents the main features of the Priorities module.

| Priority table (List view) | Project issues appear in the table view together with metrics and the priority score. Click on the fields to assign metrics to issues. The score is automatically calculated once all metrics are filled in for an issue.
You can prioritize any Jira issue type, allowing you to manage priorities at the delivery level (stories, tasks) and the strategic level (Initiatives, epics). |  |
| Priority matrix | The priority matrix lets you analyze different priority quadrants. You can select what values you want to work with, and issues are then rendered on the chart. |  |
| Predefined priority templates | You can use one of our predefined prioritization templates to get you started quicker:
- **ICE**
- **RICE**
- **Value vs Effort**
- **WSJF (Weighted Shortest Job First)**
- **Quick Wins ** |  |
| Customize prioritization templates | You can customize the existing prioritization template, including the scoring formula, or create a new one from scratch. |  |
| Filter | The Priorities module offers multiple filter views:
- **Basic filters** allow you to quickly select filters from preselected options like projects, assignees, fixed versions, and more.
- **Advanced filters** allow you to use JQL search to filter by anything you want. You also get hints while typing your search to make it much easier.
- **Saved filters **allow you to select any of your saved filters in Jira, which is ideal for quickly switching between the views. |  |
| Display priorities on the Gantt task tree | You can put the information about the priority of your tasks in context using the Gantt module.
You can add the **Priority score** column to the Gantt module or use the predefined **Priorities** column view.
Note: Currently, the color coding in the Gantt module is not supported. The grey background of the Priority score is intentional. |  |
| Predefined Priorities column view in the Gantt module | Once you’re in the Gantt module, switch to the **Priorities** column view to track priorities along with the Gantt timeline. |  |
| Sort by Priority score in the Gantt module | Sort by the Priority score column in the Gantt module to see the most important tasks or initiatives at the top of the Gantt structure. |  |
