When none of the default prioritization templates works for you, you can always create a new one from scratch or edit existing ones.

When creating your own prioritization templates, you need to define prioritization metrics and a formula for calculating the issue's final score.

To make your prioritization template unique, the Priorities module allows you to select from different metrics. You just pick the one that’s best suited for your use case.

## Available metric types

When creating a new template, you can use the following metrics.

- Label - creates a set of labels with custom names and colors.
- Number - creates the field that accepts a number input (supports 4 decimal numbers).
- Rating - creates 5 stars rating.
- Short text - creates a drop-down with text values.
- Jira field - allows for using App custom fields or Jira custom fields (only single select dropdown fields are available).
