## How you can manage risks
Two modules, the **Risks** module and the new, more advanced **Risk Management** module, are available to help you manage risks at every stage of your project.
While our old **Risks module** provides tools for assessing and visualizing risks on the heatmap or in the risk table, the [new] **Risk Management** module will take your risk handling to the next level. It provides a more flexible experience, allowing you to create risk registers per box, connect risks to specific Jira work items, add multiple frameworks per risk register, and more.
The table in the next section of this page provides more information about the differences between these modules.

The Risk Management module allows you to register, assess, and prioritize risks, and to track progress and link risks to daily tasks. With this module, you can assess any type of Jira work items as a risk. It’s a user-friendly module with pre-made industry-standard templates for quick setup and use. When creating a risk register, you can choose from four industry-standard risk management templates. All templates are fully customizable.
The module allows you to create as many risk registers and calculations per box as you need. The key features include:
