# Edit and delete risks (old navigation)

## Edit risks

### Matrix

#### Inline editing

You can inline edit the text and number type of fields directly on the Card, or you can use the Edit dialog.

#### Edit issue

Click on the Jira issue key to be able to edit the issue:

### Risk Register (Table)

#### Inline editing

You can inline edit the following fields once they are added to the column view:

## Delete risks

You can remove the risk (any issue) from the matrix and the register by clicking the "Delete" button. The issue will not be deleted from your Host platform but the values of the mapped fields, such as "Risk probability" and "Risk consequence" will be cleared.

> ⚠️ Consequence and probability values set for a risk need to be consistent with the configuration of both axes. If you delete a consequence or probability value from the axis configuration, a risk that has such a value set is removed from both the matrix and table view.

## Warning - task could not be moved

When a risk field hasn't been configured in Risks Administration, you can't use the drag-and-drop mechanism to move risk. Contact your Jira admin regarding the configuration.

You can inline edit the following fields once they are added to the column view.

## Delete risks

You can remove the risk (any work item) from the matrix and the table.

The work item will not be deleted from Jira, but the values of the mapped fields, such as "Risk probability" and "Risk consequence", will be cleared.

### Matrix

Right-click on the risk and click **Remove from risks**.

Click the **Delete** icon next to the risk you want to delete.
