## Overview

Posting comments on OKRs lets team members to share feedback, ask questions, or provide updates, fostering collaboration and keeping everyone informed about progress and challenges.

The OKR module lets you post, edit, and delete your own comments, as well as reply to comments left by other team members.

## Post a comment

> ℹ️ To add comments to OKR updates, you need [editing permissions](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SPM/pages/1918765815).

> ℹ️ In the advanced permission setup, admins can additionally allow or disallow individual user roles to comment.

You can mention other people in your comments by using the **@** (at) sign followed by the person’s name.

### On the OKR details side panel

The [OKR details side panel](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SPM/pages/1918865686) displays a chronological list of updates made to the selected OKR. You can add comments to each update.

1. Click **+New comment** under the OKR update.
2. Click the **Load more updates** link to see and comment on earlier updates.

4. Enter your comment.
5. **Save** to post it.

### On the OKR details page

[The ](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SPM/pages/1918865790)[Status changes](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SPM/pages/1918865790) section on [the ](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SPM/pages/1918536390)[OKR details page](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SPM/pages/1918536390) displays a chronological list of updates made to the selected OKR.

The updated status/progress reflects the changes, but the original update date stays the same. The edit date will display next to the update.

1. In the **Status changes** section, click +New comment under the OKR update.
2. Click the **See previous updates** link to see and comment on earlier updates.

4. Enter your comment.
5. **Save** to post it.

## Edit, delete, and reply to a comment

Once you add a comment or navigate to a comment left by another team member, you will see additional options that allow you to take further action.

You can edit, delete, and reply to comments on the OKR details side panel and the OKR details page.

### Edit a comment

You can edit only your own comments.

### Delete a comment

You can delete only your own comments.

### Reply to comment

You can reply to your own comments and the comments left by other team members.

## Email notifications on comments

When a comment is posted, all relevant users will get an email notification. Each user can choose which notifications they want to receive.
