By choosing real-time planning poker, you enable your team to vote simultaneously, fostering dynamic discussions and quicker decision-making. This approach keeps the planning session interactive and ensures immediate alignment on priorities.

## Create real-time poker game

To create a new priority planning poker game:

1. In the Priorities module, click **Priority poker **in the top right.
2. Click **Create a new game** and enter a game name.
3. Select:
  1. **Real-time poker** to prioritize with your coworkers in real-time, or
  2. **Async poker** to let your team prioritize in their own time and review the results later.
4. Click **Next: Select metrics**.
5. Select metrics to prioritize and click **Next: Select issues**.
6. Select work items you want to prioritize. Use filters to find the necessary work items.
7. When ready, click **Create game**.
8. You’ve created a new poker game. Invite other players to the game using the link, and once you’re ready, click **Start the session*** *to begin voting. New players can join even after the session starts and participate in the voting process.

## Select work items for prioritization

The session admin (creator of the game) can select the current work item to prioritize by clicking on the work item card in the* ***Ready for prioritization **column.

## Vote on work item metrics

You can vote on metrics for any selected work item at the bottom of the screen.

1. You can add values to all metrics or a few only by clicking** Submit my vote**.
2. You can choose to skip a turn and refrain from submitting a vote by clicking **Skip this turn**.

Wait for everyone to finish voting and for the session admin to reveal the score.

## Close voting and see results

The session admin can close voting for a work item and reveal results by clicking **View results*** *that appears in the voting panel at the bottom of the page, once they submit their vote.

Then, everyone is taken to the **Results*** *screen to view the average votes for each metric, alongside details of all player submissions.

Once results are revealed, no one can vote on the work item again.

## Accept voting results

The session admin can accept the vote by clicking **Accept results** at the bottom of the **Results*** *page. Once the result is accepted, the average vote is stored as the final value for that metric, and the work item priority score is recalculated accordingly.

The **Results*** *screen then closes, and all players are presented with the next work item to prioritize.

> ℹ️ The session admin can overwrite the results by simply clicking and changing the value of the final average metric field on the Results page.

3. Click **View results **to see new results.
