This short guide will help with all the details on how to migrate Attachments with CMJ.

## \uD83D\uDCD8 Instructions

**Attachments inside Snapshot File**

**Selecting **the option to “Include Attachment files” when creating the snapshot, then the attachments should be added to the snapshot, and the screen should show as follows:

CMJ will double-check, warn about the snapshot size, and add attachments. Note that the option is **selected**.

When deploying to a new project, the Advanced options should show as follows:

Note that there is no Attachment browse bar for adding an attachment folder, and attachments should be added automatically.

**Moving Attachments separately**

When **deselecting** the attachment option when creating the snapshot, the deployment window will appear as follows:

The deployment expects an attachment folder to be added so attachments can be copied to the destination instance separately first; when selecting the option above, no attachments will be added to the original snapshot file as the deployment is expecting the attachment folder below.

*Please note that using this option, the attachments should be copied to a temporary location in the destination instance.*

When leaving the Attachments bar empty and clicking next, the deployment will show the following error and won’t allow the deployment to continue:

Nevertheless, selecting the Option “Do not import issue attachments” will allow the deployment to continue, but keep in mind that the attachments won’t be migrated. A message will show as follows on the screen:
