For users looking to customize the order of items in a Relative Estimation session in Agile Poker, sorting items manually in advance is a practical solution. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for creating a relative session with items arranged to meet specific needs, such as grouping by users or aligning with other customer requirements.

### Overview

Relative Estimation sessions are valuable tools for planning, allowing team members to estimate and prioritize issues effectively. However, Agile Poker does not currently support automatic sorting based on JQL filters, so manual sorting through the backlog is required. By pre-arranging issues in the backlog, users can ensure they appear in a preferred order during the estimation session.

### Steps

1. **Set up Your Board**
  - Start by creating or selecting an existing Scrum or Kanban board for your project. This board will serve as the foundation for managing your items.
  - Open the backlog associated with your board. Here, you’ll see the list of issues currently in your project, organized by sprints, backlogs, or any other sections relevant to your workflow.
  - **Example:** You may have items categorized under `Sprint 1`, `Sprint 2`, or simply as `Backlog` items.
    
2. **Organize and Sort Items Manually**
  - In the backlog, manually adjust the order of issues within the sections you’d like to appear in the Relative Estimation session. This step is essential, as the arrangement you set here will determine how issues are displayed later in Agile Poker.
  - Sorting by priority, team assignment, or other criteria can improve clarity and alignment with your team’s estimation needs.
3. **Open Agile Poker and Start a Relative Estimation Session**
  - Once you’ve organized your items, go to Agile Poker and select **Relative **session.
  - In step 3 (*Select issues*) of creating a new session, you’ll see all the tickets you previously ordered in the backlog, grouped into sections that mirror your backlog structure. This allows you to conduct a session where items are shown in the exact order you created.
    By following these steps, you can set up Agile Poker sessions that reflect custom priorities and groupings, making it easier to conduct efficient and well-organized estimations with your team.
