### How to configure outgoing mail using Google Account

Go to your Jira **Administration** panel.

Navigate to **Apps** → **Power Apps Config** → **Integrations** → **Outgoing Mail**.

**Select Direct sender, custom**

1. Protocol : smtps
2. Mail host : [smtp.gmail.com](http://smtp.gmail.com/)
3. Port : 465
4. Authentication
  - Username : full gmail address
  - Password :
  - From address : full gmail address

Generate gmail App password

**Prerequisites**

1. **2-Step Verification** must be **enabled** on your Google account.
2. You must be using **your personal Gmail or Google Workspace** account (App passwords are not available for all workspace-managed accounts unless allowed by admin).

Steps :   
On your icon menu, select Manage your Google Account

On the search bar, type and select App passwords (you may be prompted to log in again)

1. Create App password. Google will generate a 16-character password (e.g., **abcd efgh ijkl mnop**). Supply this code in the **Password **section of the configuration.
