To assist in your migration, you can use the following checklists for migrating JSU from Data Center to Cloud.

### ✅ Pre-migration checks

| | Checkpoint | Solution |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1 | **Install JSU on Jira Cloud** | - [ ] Confirm JSU is installed and licensed (trial or paid) on the target Jira Cloud instance.<br>Ensure:<br>- [ ] JSU Data Center is licensed, and **the latest ****[version](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/5048/jsu-automation-suite-for-jira-workflows/version-history)**** is installed.**
- [ ] JCMA (or CMJ) is the highest compatible version with Jira Server/DC |
| 2 | **Review feature compatibility ** | - [ ] Gain a clear understanding of the feature differences between JSU Data Center and Cloud.
Refer to [JSU Server/DC vs Cloud feature comparison](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSU/pages/12684789) to identify any unsupported features. |
| 3 | **Check JSU DC usage** | - [ ] Identify where JSU is used in your Jira DC instance to enable comparison after migrating to the Cloud. You can use one or more of the following methods:<br>- Refer to [https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SUPPORT/pages/80876628](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SUPPORT/pages/80876628)
- Use XML export or workflow editor. You can also refer to [https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1230311/app-usage-for-jira?hosting=datacenter&tab=overview](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1230311/app-usage-for-jira?hosting=datacenter&tab=overview) |
| 4 | **Test migration** | - [ ] Perform a test migration to identify any potential issues in advance; this helps ensure a smoother production migration. |

### ✅ Post-migration checks

| | Checkpoint | Solution |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1 | **Fix errors and warnings listed on the Cloud JSU Migration Reports page** | - [ ] On the ** JSU Migration Reports** page of the target Cloud instance, review all the tabs and resolve the listed issues. Refer to <u>[JSU migration reports](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSUCLOUD/pages/710181330)</u> for details. [Ref](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSU/pages/12684875/Jira+Cloud+Migration+Assistant+JCMA#Post-migration-report-and-cleanup) |
| 2 | **JSU rules loaded** | - [ ] Go to **JSU*** → ***My Workflows** and confirm all rules are listed and enabled. Refer to [https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSUCLOUD/pages/12519535](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSUCLOUD/pages/12519535) for more details. |
| 3 | **JCMA automatically migrates JSU Data Center conditions and validators that exist natively on Jira Cloud to their *****native***** equivalents. This is done outside of JSU’s control.** | - [ ] Once the migration to Cloud is complete, based on your requirements, remove the migrated Jira Cloud native workflow validators and conditions; manually add the required JSU validators and conditions.
Refer to [https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSUCLOUD/pages/1958084925](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSUCLOUD/pages/1958084925) and

### ❓ JSU Migration FAQ (Cloud)

- **Q: Why are some post functions, validators, and conditions missing after migration?**
**A:** Some features aren't supported in Cloud. Use the [Feature Comparison Table](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSU/pages/12684789).
- **Q: Why does **`%%CURRENT_USER%%`** insert an ID?**
**A:** In Cloud, this macro returns a user Account ID. Use a *User Picker* field to render names properly.
- **Q: Why don’t the post functions work after migration?**
**A:** Verify if the user has the necessary permissions in the permission scheme. As a workaround, try executing the post function using the JSU Add-on user account.
- **Q: JSU post function failed; what now?**
**A:** Go to **JSU ***→ ***Execution Log**, find the failure, and contact Appfire support with the Log ID.
- **Q: Why is migration stuck at 0%?**
**A:** Check if the Cloud instance URL has changed after installing the app; if so, then reinstall the app on the Cloud instance.
**Q: How do I know if migration is still running?**
**A:** Migration could be completed. Check the backend logs.
