## **Problem**

Users are unable to create snapshots using Configuration Manager for Jira (CMJ) on Jira Data Center  The snapshot wizard fails on the first screen with the error:  
**“is not a valid file name”**.  


## **Solution**

This issue occurs when the user lacks **write permissions** to the export directory:  
`/var/atlassian/application-data/home/export/`

**To resolve:**

1. Ensure the snapshot folder exists and is writable:
2. Retry snapshot creation using a lowercase name with underscores (e.g., `test_snapshot_01`).
