## Frequently asked questions

<details>
<summary>What happens when a Flow Board Data Center license or evaluation expires?</summary>

When the license expires, the app transitions to **Flow Board Lite**. Existing boards are not deleted. Boards and related security settings remain in place, but functionality is reduced, including limits such as a maximum of three lists per board.
</details>

<details>
<summary>Will we lose our existing boards if the license expires?</summary>

No. Existing boards remain available. The product continues in Lite mode rather than removing board data.
</details>

<details>
<summary>Is Flow Board available for Confluence Cloud?</summary>

No. Flow Board is not currently available for Atlassian Cloud.
</details>

<details>
<summary>Is there a release date for a Cloud version?</summary>

There is currently no confirmed timeline for Cloud availability.
</details>

<details>
<summary>What happens to Confluence pages containing Flow Board macros after migration to Cloud?</summary>

The Confluence pages themselves will still migrate. However, because Flow Board is not available on Cloud, the macro will not render as an active board. Instead, the page will show an `unknown macro: flow-board` placeholder where the macro appears. Other page content remains intact.
</details>

<details>
<summary>What is the difference between an expired license and a disabled app?</summary>

An **expired or removed license** causes the app to fall back to Lite mode, so boards still render with limitations. A **disabled app** means Flow Board content does not render on pages.
</details>

<details>
<summary>Can customers request temporary access while completing migration work?</summary>

Yes. Customers who need temporary continued access on Data Center while finalizing their migration should contact Appfire Support to request a temporary license extension.
