### Problem

Users may want to remove or hide the Dashboard Hub option from the user menu in the Jira Service Management (JSM) customer portal to simplify the interface or prevent customers from seeing the app link.

### Cause

It's not currently possible to completely hide or remove the Dashboard Hub menu entry from the JSM customer portal. This is a limitation of the Atlassian Forge platform: the app automatically adds the menu item through its integration with JSM, and there's no configuration setting or workaround to suppress it.

### Solution

While you can't remove the menu link itself, you can control the customer experience by restricting access so customers don't see any dashboards when they click the link.

To restrict dashboard access in the portal:

1. Navigate to **Admin configuration** > **Dashboard Hub** > **Global Settings**.
2. Locate the **Global Access Restriction** section.
3. Make sure the toggle for **Restrict Access in the Customer Portal** is turned **off**.
  - **Note:** With this setting off, the Dashboard Hub menu link stays visible, but clicking it shows customers an empty view with no dashboards.
