## Summary

This article addresses an issue where older LaTeX Math Inline macros appear broken on live sites published via K15t Scroll Sites (Scroll Viewport), while newly created macros render correctly. This is due to a known Atlassian export limitation affecting migrated or older "Connect" version macros.

## Environment

- **Product:** LaTeX Math
- **Platform:** Confluence Cloud
- **Integration:** K15t Scroll Sites / Scroll Viewport
- **Affected macro:** LaTeX Math Inline (older versions)

## Problem

When publishing Confluence pages to a live site using Scroll Sites, LaTeX Math Inline macros render as broken or display raw text (for example, showing `mathline` instead of the rendered formula).

- The macros appear correctly within the Confluence editor and page view.
- Only "older" macros (those created with previous app versions or migrated from Data Center) are affected.
- Newly created macros render perfectly on the live site.

## Cause

Scroll Sites relies on the document's exported format to render content. For older LaTeX Math Inline macros (previously using the Connect framework), the export function is not consistently triggered during the publishing process. This prevents the macro from rendering in the exported format used by Scroll Sites.

This is a known issue on the Atlassian platform side regarding macro export triggers.

## Solution

While Atlassian works on a permanent fix for the export trigger, you can resolve the issue for specific macros by manually forcing a re-render.

### Step-by-step workaround

1. Navigate to the affected Confluence page and click **Edit**.
2. Locate the broken LaTeX Math Inline macro.
3. Click on the macro and select the **Edit** (pencil) icon to open the macro editor.
4. Wait for the formula to render within the preview area of the macro editor.
5. Click **Insert** or **Save** to close the macro editor.
6. **Publish** the Confluence page.
7. Trigger a site update or re-compile in **Scroll Sites** to reflect the changes on the live site.
