## Summary

When using Polls for Confluence in a restricted network environment, your firewall may block certain functionalities. This article provides the necessary domains and guidance for whitelisting to ensure the app functions correctly during or after a migration to Confluence Cloud.

## Use case

A customer migrating from Confluence Data Center to Cloud operates within a restricted network. To ensure the Polls for Confluence app works correctly, they need to whitelist specific domains and IP addresses in their firewall.

## Solution

To allow Polls for Confluence to communicate through a restricted network, you must whitelist specific subdomains and refer to Atlassian's standard cloud IP ranges.

### Whitelist app-specific domains

In your firewall settings, add the following subdomains to your allowlist:

- `*.appfire.app`
- `*.atlassian.net`
- `*.mohamicorp.com`

### Whitelist Atlassian cloud IPs

Polls for Confluence uses shared IP addresses rather than a dedicated static IP list. You must allow the domains and IP ranges used by Atlassian Cloud products.

To find the current list of IP addresses, refer to the Atlassian documentation: [https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/ip-addresses-and-domains-for-atlassian-cloud-products/](https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/ip-addresses-and-domains-for-atlassian-cloud-products/).
