# BigPicture interface language availability

> ℹ️ **Internal summary:** BigPicture is available with an English user interface only. Appfire does not currently provide translated BigPicture interfaces, and there are no confirmed plans to add additional interface languages.

## Purpose

Use this article when customers ask whether BigPicture can be displayed in a language other than English, whether a translated version exists, or whether a specific language version is planned.

- Customer questions about product interface language, localization, or translations

## Current product behavior

BigPicture currently provides its application interface in English only. This applies to product navigation, modules, settings, labels, buttons, dialogs, and other built-in UI elements delivered by the app.

BigPicture does not include selectable interface language packs or translated versions of the product UI.

## Roadmap position

There are no confirmed plans to release non-English versions of the BigPicture interface at this time. Support should not promise or imply that a specific language version will be delivered in a future release.

## What customers may still see translated

Customers may see some surrounding Jira or browser-level content in their preferred language, depending on their Jira profile, site configuration, or browser settings. This does not mean the BigPicture application interface itself is translated.

Customer-provided content, such as Jira issue data, box names, task names, descriptions, custom fields, or comments, can be entered and displayed in any language supported by the customer’s Jira environment.

## Support guidance

- Confirm that BigPicture has an English-only interface.
- Explain that no other BigPicture interface language versions are currently available.
- Do not offer workarounds that imply an official translation layer exists.
- Do not create feature commitments or estimated delivery dates for localization.
- If the customer requires a translated interface for procurement or compliance reasons, document the request as product feedback.

## Recommended customer response

> BigPicture currently has an English-only user interface. Translated versions of the BigPicture interface are not available, and there are no plans to introduce additional interface languages at this time. Content entered by users, such as task names, box names, descriptions, and Jira issue data, can still be created and displayed in the languages supported by your Jira environment.

## When to escalate

Escalation is usually not required for standard language availability questions. Escalate or raise product feedback only if the customer reports a contractual requirement, compliance requirement, or a major business impact related to the lack of localized BigPicture UI.

## Internal notes

- Do not state that localization is on the roadmap - there are FRs from the past, they have been implemented and removed, no support or version in langue other than English is planned
- Keep the response focused on the BigPicture interface. Do not generalize this statement to other Appfire products
