This article addresses an incompatibility issue where the **Table Library for Bob Swift Add-ons** (and its dependent apps) appears as incompatible after upgrading Confluence Data Center (for example, to version 10.2.13). The resolution involves verifying the updated Marketplace compatibility and, when necessary, uninstalling both the affected dependent app and **Table Library for Bob Swift Add-ons**, then reinstalling the dependent app to trigger installation of the compatible library version.

## Use case: app incompatibility after Confluence upgrade

### Problem

After upgrading Confluence Data Center to a newer version (for example, 10.2.13), users may find that the following apps are flagged as incompatible:

- Table Library for Bob Swift Add-ons
- Advanced Tables for Confluence
- Excel for Confluence
- SQL for Confluence

### Cause

The Atlassian Marketplace compatibility metadata for these apps may not have been updated to include the latest Confluence version at the time of the upgrade, or the local instance requires a refresh of the library dependency.

### Solution

1. **Verify Marketplace status:** Ensure that the vendor has updated the compatibility for the specific Confluence version on the Atlassian Marketplace.
2. **Reinstall dependent apps:** Since the **Table Library** is a foundational component and not a standalone app, it is managed by its dependent apps. If an incompatible Table Library version remains installed:
  - Navigate to **Manage Apps** in Confluence administration.
  - Locate and uninstall the affected dependent app, such as **Advanced Tables for Confluence**, **Excel for Confluence**, or **SQL for Confluence**.
  - Locate and uninstall **Table Library for Bob Swift Add-ons**.
  - Reinstall the affected dependent app.
  - This process triggers the automatic installation of the compatible **Table Library** version.
  - Verify that the dependent app and Table Library are enabled and marked as compatible.
3. **Clear browser cache:** In some cases, JavaScript-based table features may require a browser cache clear to load the new library support correctly.

## Key information for administrators

- **Automatic management:** The Table Library is installed automatically by dependent apps. You do not need to install or update Table Library manually as a standalone app. If an incompatible version remains installed, uninstall both the dependent app and **Table Library for Bob Swift Add-ons**, then reinstall the dependent app to install the compatible library version.
- **Licensing:** The license for the Table Library is automatically applied when a dependent Bob Swift app is licensed.
- **Version alignment:** The main add-on (like Advanced Tables) will always attempt to install the minimum required version of the Table Library to ensure stability.
