# Audit History and Change Tracking in BigPicture

This article addresses the availability of audit logs and change tracking for task structures and configurations within BigPicture.

## Summary

Currently, BigPicture does not provide a comprehensive audit log for administrative or structural changes. While some task-level changes can be tracked via the Gantt module, broader modifications to the Box Task Structure and app configurations are not yet available for auditing.

## Use Case 1: Auditing Task Structure and Configuration Changes

**Problem/Context:**  
Users often need to track who modified the task hierarchy (manual indent/outdent), changed the Structure Builder configuration, or added/removed tasks from a Box scope.

**Solution/Workaround:**

- **Audit Log Availability:** There is currently no dedicated audit log or change history mechanism for administrators to track structural or configuration changes.
- **Status:** This functionality is a known limitation. An internal improvement task has been created to implement a comprehensive Audit Log feature in future releases.
- **Alternative:** There are no direct alternative approaches within the app for tracking these specific administrative changes at this time.

## Use Case 2: Tracking Task Operations on the Gantt Chart

**Problem/Context:**  
Users need to see the history of specific operations performed on tasks within the Gantt module.

**Solution/Workaround:**  
BigPicture allows users to view a limited history of changes for individual tasks directly on the Gantt chart.

- **How to access:**
  - Open the **Gantt** module.
  - Select a specific task to open its details view.
  - Click the **"See changes"** button (indicated by a clock icon) within the task details overlay.
- **Scope:** This history is primarily focused on scheduling and task-specific operations rather than global structure or configuration changes.
