This article addresses issues where users are unable to locate or select teams within the BigGantt Resources module or Gantt chart. It covers two primary scenarios: configuration-based visibility issues and individual use-case planning challenges.

## Use Case 1: Teams Not Visible in Resources or Gantt View

**Problem/Context:**
A user is unable to see or select specific teams in the Resources module or on the Gantt chart, even though they expect them to be available for planning.

**Cause:**
The most common causes for missing teams include:

- **Field Mapping Reset:** The Team field mapping in BigGantt settings has been reset or changed.
- **Jira Field Modification:** The underlying Jira field mapped to BigGantt teams was modified or removed by a Jira administrator.
- **Data Inconsistency:** Team assignments on individual Jira issues were cleared or are not being recognized due to mapping errors.

**Solution/Workaround:**
To resolve visibility issues, verify the field mapping configuration:

1. Navigate to **BigGantt Settings**.
2. Go to the **Fields** section.
3. Locate the **Team field** mapping.
4. Ensure the correct Jira field is selected (e.g., "Team" or a custom field used for team tracking). If it is set to "None," teams will not appear in the app modules.
5. If the mapping is correct but teams are still missing, verify that the Jira administrator has not changed the permissions or the field type of the mapped Jira field.

## Use Case 2: Extending BigGantt for Complex Planning Challenges

**Problem/Context:**
A user needs to extend the standard BigGantt/BigPicture functionality to meet specific company-wide planning needs that aren't immediately obvious through standard configuration.

**Solution/Workaround:**
For complex use cases or advanced planning requirements (such as cross-project resource optimization or custom workflow integration), it is recommended to consult with a Solution Advisor.
