<span style="color: #333333">Jira administrator delegates the creation of new Agile boards to the users that request as such.</span>

<summary>How are new Agile boards created?</summary>

1. <span style="color: #333333">Go to the </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Boards</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> dropdown and select </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Create Board from Template. </span>**<span style="color: #333333">The following popup window is displayed: </span>

2. <span style="color: #333333">Select a board template to use and indicate how to populate the board, provide a name for the new board and click </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Create Board</span>**<span style="color: #333333">.</span>

<summary>Can we create an agile board that has the same name as an existing board?</summary>

- <span style="color: #333333">Yes, by default, a user can create Agile boards from an Agile Board Builder template that has the same name as an existing board. However, we have an option to disable the creation of duplicate board names. </span>

- <span style="color: #333333">Navigate to </span>***<span style="color: #333333">Add-ons > Global Settings </span>***<span style="color: #333333">and unselect the </span>*<span style="color: #333333">Prevent duplicate board names</span>*<span style="color: #333333"> checkbox (as shown above) and click </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Save</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> to save your changes. With this setting, you can create multiple Agile boards with the same name.</span>

<summary>After creating the board, is it required to manually assign a Rank to the board through the board configuration menu?</summary>

**<span style="color: #333333">Yes!</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> The filter query of the board controls the usage of the ranking ability. If JQL does not have an order by Rank, the board administrator should further enable ranking by navigating to </span><span style="color: #333333">the board, click </span>***<span style="color: #333333">Board</span>***<span style="color: #333333"> dropdown > </span>***<span style="color: #333333">Configure</span>***<span style="color: #333333"> > </span>***<span style="color: #333333">Add Rank</span>***<span style="color: #333333">.</span><span style="color: #333333"> </span>
