## FAQ
What are active and inactive notifications?
Any announcement can be *Active* or *Inactive*. If the announcement is in an *Enabled *status, based on the other options set, the announcer is shown to the user. This is an active notification.
If the *Status* is Disabled, the announcement is not shown to the users. Such announcements are in the inactive notification state.
The *Announcer Configuration* page displays all the Active and Inactive Notifications.
Is there an option to enable Dismiss button after some time?
Yes, there is an option to enable the acknowledgement button after 5 seconds. Go to the *Announcement editor* window of the respective announcement and click **Show advanced options. **The option **Enable the button after 5 seconds, **if checked, ensures that the **Dismiss** button is activated only after 5 seconds. This option is to ensure that the user has the opportunity to read the announcement before dismissing it.
Can we hide the Accept button in Announcer for Bitbucket server?
Yes, you can hide the **Accept** button. Go to the *Announcement editor* window of the respective announcement and click **Show advanced options.** The option **Should the accept button be shown**, if selected, ensures that the **Accept** button is shown for that particular announcement. This applies to *Banner* and *Flag* announcement types only and indicates whether the **Accept** button should appear or not. This option is in select mode by default.
