## <span style="color: #333333">Instructions</span>

1. <span style="color: #333333">Log into the Jira instance with an admin user account.</span>
2. <span style="color: #333333">Select the </span>***<span style="color: #333333">Cog wheel </span>***> Macro (inline-external-image)

***<span style="color: #333333"> > Manage apps</span>***<span style="color: #333333">.</span>
3. <span style="color: #333333">Select the </span>*<span style="color: #333333">Announcer for Jira </span>*<span style="color: #333333">app.</span>
4. <span style="color: #333333">Expand the app and click </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Get started</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> to start using it.</span>
5. <span style="color: #333333">From the left sidebar, under the </span>*<span style="color: #333333">ANNOUNCER FOR JIRA</span>*<span style="color: #333333"> section, select </span>*<span style="color: #333333">Announcements</span>*<span style="color: #333333">.</span>
6. <span style="color: #333333">When you are creating an announcement for the first time:</span>
  1. <span style="color: #333333">You see the </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Create one now</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> button to create a new announcement. Click this button to create one.</span>

  2. <span style="color: #333333">If you have an existing announcement(s):</span>  
<span style="color: #333333">   You see the </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Add another notification </span>**<span style="color: #333333">button to create a new announcement. Click this to create a new announcement.</span>
7. <span style="color: #333333">In the </span>*<span style="color: #333333">Announcement editor</span>*<span style="color: #333333"> window</span>*<span style="color: #333333">,</span>*<span style="color: #333333"> enter the respective details of your choice.</span>
8. <span style="color: #333333">Click </span>**<span style="color: #333333">Show advanced options</span>**<span style="color: #333333"> to see additional options. 9. <span style="color: #333333">Save the announcement.</span>

<span style="color: #333333">The banner announcement is displayed in Jira as soon as the targeted users log into the Jira instance.</span>
