## Problem

If, when running a configuration import, <span style="color: #172b4d">you receive an error similar to below. </span>

```
Project XXX not found. This might have been caused by a related error, please check the import tree for missing dependencies or permissions.
```

## Solution



> ℹ️ We can confirm that this indicates that the **project** with the name shown in the error is referenced by the configuration object which is giving this error inside of the configuration import tree. 
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ The error is caused by the fact that the **project** mentioned in the error does not exist in the target instance and is not included in the export file that you are importing in from. 
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ In order to work around this error, you will need to create a **project** in the target instance with the **key** of the **project** mentioned inside the error before re-running the import.
