## Problem

If after copying your complete project import file over from the **Source**  instance to the **Target**  instance, it is not displayed in the **Project File**  box on the import screen then you should follow the steps below in order to resolve this issue.

## Solution

1. Ensure that the file is placed under the ** <JiraHomeDirectory>/import/projectconfigurator **on the **Target**  instance.
2. Ensure that the permissions for the import file are set so that is owned by the same **operating system user and group**  which Jira is running under.
3. Refresh the project import page after making these changes to ensure that the import file is displayed inside of the **Project File**  box on the import screen.
