## You’re ready to sync!

A profile must successfully complete all necessary steps before synchronization between the Jira and Azure DevOps projects can begin. 

Once you have successfully configured the sync profile:

- the *Configuration* status turns green and shows 5/5
- all the configuration links in the left menu have a checkmark
- a success message is displayed, indicating the profile is ready
  

 

 

The success message also contains links to **Turn on synchronization** and **Sync initial items**.

**Turn on synchronization** - Enable synchronization to allow for synchronization between Jira and Azure for any future changes between the two platforms. The toggle at the top of the profile page is enabled, and the status on the profile entry changes to [sync on].


> 📝 Updates made in Jira items within the last 25 minutes might not be considered due to Atlassian's indexing delay. If you don’t see recently updated items, wait for 25 minutes to ensure all Jira updates are included.

**Sync initial items** - Initial sync allows you to synchronize items that existed before the synchronization was configured. Go to the [Initial synchronization](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TFS4JIRA/pages/1841889791) page for more information.
