Use the *Email Field Settings* page to control how Power Utilities **Email** custom fields validate addresses. Specify which domains skip DNS lookup on the Jira server or disable DNS domain validation.

## Configure email domain validation

The Email Field Settings page stores global options for all Power Utilities Email custom fields. Addresses must still pass normal email format checks; these settings only affect DNS resolution and the domain allowlist.

To access the *Email Field Settings* page, you must have **Administrator** permissions and a valid Power Utilities license.

1. In Jira, go to **Administration** > **Manage apps** > **Power Utilities for Jira** > **Email Field Settings**.
2. Configure the following settings:
  - **Allowlisted domains** — Enter domains whose addresses should skip DNS lookup. Each entry applies to that domain and its subdomains (for example, `corp.example.com` also covers `mail.corp.example.com`). Separate domains with commas or spaces. Invalid domain names are rejected when you save.
  - **Validate email domains with DNS lookup** — Turn on this option to validate the domains of addresses that aren't on the allowlist. When enabled (the default), the Jira server resolves those domains. Turn it off to skip DNS checks and apply only email format validation.

3. Click **Save** to apply your changes. Settings take effect immediately for Email field validation.

By default, DNS lookup is **enabled** and the allowlist is **empty**, so behavior matches earlier releases until you change these options.

The Email Field Settings page shows the domain allowlist and DNS lookup validation settings.
