Users migrating **Visibility for Confluence** from the Server to the cloud can retain all macros and data. Your questions about this scenario have been captured and responded to below.

| **Question** | Is there anything I need to know before migrating? |

| **Answer** | - <span style="color: #221f1f">Both </span><span style="color: #221f1f">**Visibility for Confluence**</span><span style="color: #221f1f"> macros ( </span>[Hide If](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/x/voOJH) & [Show If](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/x/94OJH) ) <span style="color: #221f1f">are available in the Cloud.</span>
- However, only some macro parameters are supported in the Cloud. Refer to the specific [macro reference page](https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/x/cIKJH)<span style="color: #221f1f"> for more details.</span> |

| **Answer** | While the functions of these parameters <span style="color: #172b4d">do not have any output and the values are ignored in the Cloud, all data will be retained. Some of the parameters may be coming to Cloud in future releases.</span> |

| **Answer** | The data will be visible when in edit mode for now. |


| **Question** | What happens to the **Special Usernames **values in the Hide If & Show If macro when transferred to Cloud? |

| **Answer** | The data will be transferred to the **Authentication Type **field that can be accessed by expanding the **Hide advanced filters** dropdown in the Cloud. |


| **Question** | Do I have to do anything to make these data available in the future once the macro feature has been fully supported in the cloud? |

| **Answer** | <span style="color: #050505">These functions will automatically pick up the migrated data and work automatically.</span> |


| **Question** | In terms of the content inside the Hide-if or Show-if macros. Are there any particular cases that I need to be aware of? |

| **Answer** | The content inside hide-if<span style="color: #172b4d"> and </span>show-if<span style="color: #172b4d"> macros may not be displayed the same way in the Cloud as in the Server. For example:</span><br>- <span style="color: #172b4d">If pages contain a third-party macro, you must install that first.</span>
- <span style="color: #172b4d">Similarly, macros with integrations to other macros unsupported in Confluence Cloud will not work as expected.</span>
- Pages containing nested-bodied[ macro](https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-68323) will still work upon migration if you don't [convert the page to New Editor](https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/convert-pages-to-the-new-editor/). |
