<span style="color: #000000">This article illustrates how to fetch and display relevant Jira issues on a Confluence page, and search for issues with a specific issue type. To achieve this, after specifying the required Jira instance to connect to, the </span>*<span style="color: #000000">Display data filter</span>*<span style="color: #000000"> option is selected to apply filters on the Jira issues fields.</span>

# <span style="color: #000000">Before you begin</span>

- <span style="color: #000000">Ensure that the required Jira instance is linked with your Confluence instance using application links. Contact your administrator for more information about application links.</span>

- <span style="color: #000000">Use the relevant search criteria as applicable to your instances.</span>

# <span style="color: #000000">Steps</span>

1. <span style="color: #000000">Navigate to the required page and add the </span>*<span style="color: #000000">JQL Table</span>*<span style="color: #000000"> macro to the page.</span>
2. <span style="color: #000000">Edit the macro and select the required Jira instance in </span>*<span style="color: #000000">Jira application link</span>*<span style="color: #000000"> of the </span>*<span style="color: #000000">JQL settings</span>*<span style="color: #000000"> tab.</span>
3. <span style="color: #000000">Specify your JQL query in </span>*<span style="color: #000000">Jira advanced search</span>*<span style="color: #000000">.</span>

> ⚠️ *This field is mandatory! *You must specify a valid JQL to fetch information from the specified Jira instance. If an incorrect query is entered, an error is shown on preview or after the page is saved as "The Jira server did not understand your search query. If you entered JQL, please ensure that its correctly formed.".

4. <span style="color: #000000">For this example, select </span>***<span style="color: #000000">Table settings > Advanced settings > Display data filter</span>***<span style="color: #000000"> to allow selection of specific values per column.</span>

> ⚠️ If the Jira instance is not specified, an error is shown on preview or after the page is saved as "Jira application links is a required parameter.". "The Jira server did not understand your search query. If you entered JQL, please ensure that its correctly formed".

5. <span style="color: #000000">Select </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Preview</span>**<span style="color: #000000"> or </span>**<span style="color: #000000">Save settings</span>**<span style="color: #000000">, and publish the page.</span>
